Silver Cow is moving to Murray Hill!
The address will be 931 Edgewood Avenue S. Jacksonville, FL 32205 – right across the street from the Murray Hill Theater and adjacent to The Annex (and Jeux De Jax Comedy Club & Music House)!
We will be working on getting Jeux de Jax and The Annex open first – and then focus on the new Silver Cow. Our estimate for the opening of Silver Cow is on or before July 4, 2017. The new Silver Cow will have the benefit of a full kitchen and will be offering a wide variety of food in addition to craft beer, wine, cider and meads, games, sports viewing and live music! !
Swing by this week (MON – FRI) for some great deals on the beers we have on tap and house wines - ALL TAPS SLASHED $2 $3 and $4 and we’re filling growlers, too! EVERYTHING MUST FLOW! We will be open through Saturday, Dec 17 (4 pm to 2am).
We’ll miss this original setting of Silver Cow – you all have made it very special for us the past three years here on King Street. However, we look forward to the new Silver Cow and hope you will keep checking back here for the latest information!
Brewer’s Notes: Hey pal, this ain’t just some sweet little thang. This fierce, frosted goddess is none other than Strawberry Shortcake, a righteous wheat wine brewed with just enough whole strawberries and fragrant vanilla beans to temper its ferocious nature. So beer bros, take heed: it’s time to hail to the queen, baby.
WARNING! LONG-WINDED BUT VALUE-LADEN POST AHEAD!
At the height of activity of JaxBrewBitch, I distributed a weekly newsletter to my awesome followers called the Hypnotic Hop. Contained within each issue, I would sponsor weekly raffles of beer swag, tickets to craft beer events, beer dinners or even a free pint with me at a mutually agreed upon craft beer-centric establishment.
Once I opened Silver Cow, time demands dictated a focus on the business and the number and duration of my JaxBrewBitch Prowls were diminished. However, I wanted to share what we were doing at Silver Cow with all who were interested.
Although, Silver Cow has a significant number of events, new taps and packaged beers each week, I hear (sadly) from so many of you that you do not see this good news on facebook as often as you did previously. As you know, the facebook promotion process has been altered to stress “pay to play”, so to speak.
So, how to remedy this dilemma? EASY! Sign up for our Newsletter which will be going out later today!
We won’t give out your email addy and that’s all you have to enter at: http://silvercowjax.com/?cat=34
In our Newsletter, you will find ways to win complimentary pints of awesome craft beer, glasses of fine wine, deep-discounts on certain packaged beer, appetizers and more!
Help us get the word out about the Newsletter today!
As always, we sincerely appreciate your continuing patronage and support of what we are doing at Silver Cow!
This titanic, immensely viscous stout is loaded with inimitable flavors of chocolate-covered caramel and coffee and hide a hefty 98 IBUs underneath the smooth blanket of malt. It is made with enormous amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops.
What’s better than beer for breakfast? How about a little Morning Wood. This Imperial version of Maple Bacon Coffee Porter is aged in Bourbon barrels for months, lending smoothness to the smokey, salty, rich combo of maple syrup, fresh roasted coffee, and bacon.
The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.
Petrus Aged Pale is a 100% beer from our oak foeders for over 24 months. Michael Jackson, the beer hunter, chose the name in the late 1990s – and he was the first to sell this beer in his beer clubs. Today, it is still the reference for sour beers in the US. Petrus Aged Pale has won multiple gold medals in beer competitions worldwide. Moreover, ever since the start of the brewery, the beer has been used as a blending-beer with other beers to give them fresh, slightly sour flavors and aromas.
